This website is specific to our operations at the Stoney Creek Regional Facility (SCRF) located at the northwest corner of Mud Street and Upper Centennial Parkway (Highway 20) in the community of upper Stoney Creek. The SCRF has been a fixture in the community since 1996, employs over 20 employees, and has contributed over $22 million dollars to community groups, sports and recreational programs, charitable initiatives and local infrastructure projects in Stoney Creek.

The following is a timeline of the corrective actions GFL has taken to address the recent odour issue.
December 12, 2024
Operating hours for landfill construction operations: Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The GFL Stoney Creek Regional Facility has received 11 odour complaints December 5th to December 11th.
During the holiday period, weekly community updates will be posted on December 19th and will resume on January 9th 2025.
Ongoing: perimeter inspections for odour detection; deodorizer operations; air monitoring; daily waste relocation; and design and consultation of the new leachate pre-treatment facility.
The date of the next Community Update Meeting (via Zoom) is still to be determined.
